If you are a senior leader with Non-Executive experience and an understanding of the importance of providing and maintaining good quality homes for customers, we want to hear from you.

A skilled, diverse and informed Board is critical to our success. As we enter a new cycle in our corporate planning, we are looking for two new Non-Executive Directors to bring specific experience in consumer engagement and development, asset management/regeneration as well as the required leadership skills and emotional intelligence to contribute to a strong Board and Executive Team.

We are looking for people with the following skills/experience:

Customer Committee Chair

Working alongside our new customer-led improvement panel, you will chair the Customer Committee to help ensure we continue to improve our services by prioritising engagement and the customer voice. Your customer and business expertise, aligned with your strong customer ethos, will help ensure we optimise customer data and have a strong improvement strategy in place.  The Social Housing Regulator is putting new emphasis on customer engagement, which bpha very much welcomes, and which chimes with our social ethos.

Skills/experience required:

  • Experience of working in environments where customer involvement impacts decision making at Board level
  • Experience of using customer feedback, insight and data to shape and drive strategy
  • The skill to act as the advocate for the customer at Board and more widely across the organisation, and support/embed the new SIP (Service Improvement Panel) to provide scrutiny/challenge to ensure the customer voice is effective
  • Knowledge and experience of having operated in a regulated and scrutinized environment
  • Previous Non-Executive Director experience
  • Experience of chairing/facilitating (ideally at Board/Committee/Executive level)

Development and Assets Committee Chair

Your asset management and development expertise will help bpha ensure the ongoing delivery of desperately needed affordable and social homes across our operating area. Helping guide strategic direction, including regeneration, you will be a positive influence on sustainable development and providing diverse housing options for local people.

Skills/experience required:

  • Experience of leading / overseeing large scale operations in the core areas of; Asset Management, Regeneration and Development
  • Experience of shaping development / asset management strategies which contribute towards and support environmental sustainability priorities
  • Experience of working with a range of partners, contractors and joint ventures to deliver strategic objectives
  • Knowledge and experience of having operated in a regulated and scrutinized environment
  • Previous Non-Executive Director experience
  • Experience of chairing/facilitating (ideally at Board/Committee/Executive level)
