Thank you for your interest in becoming bpha’s new Chair.

bpha has been providing good quality homes and working closely with customers and local communities since it was formed 1990. This mission, at a time of continued rising costs and squeezed public services has never been more important.

We are excited to be looking for our next Chair, following the excellent leadership of Paul Leinster CBE, who is completing the maximum six-year tenure as Chair.

Paul will leave bpha in excellent shape, with the maximum Governance and Financial Viability (G1 and V1) ratings from the housing regulator, 100% of homes meeting the ‘decent homes’ standard and a legacy of regeneration and local investment.

Our next Chair will ensure ongoing strong governance, helping to maximise the contribution from a strong Board and a leadership team led by Richard Hill, our CEO. With experience as a Chair or senior Board member within a complex organisation, applicants will also have experience as a NED in a customer-focused and regulated environment. Candidates will demonstrate the capacity to apply their experience to managing the risks and challenges of providing excellent homes and services to our residents.
